Each summer, SIFP Fellows must undertake a summer experience and write a reflection about the opportunity in the fall when they return. These experiences include competitive internships, study abroad opportunities, research programs, summer courses and much more!
Today, SIFP also offers Fellows the following summer professional and mentorship opportunities:
- Resident College Advisers (RCAs) for the Freshman Scholars Institute. As RCAs, upperclass students provide incoming first-generation, low-income freshman mentorship and guidance as they begin their Princeton undergraduate career.
- Course Fellows for the Freshman Scholars Institute. Course Fellows are experienced learners embedded in each of the four FSI courses over the summer who help students develop academic strategies to succeed in their coursework.
- ReMatch Fellows. ReMatch Fellows receive guidance from graduate and faculty mentors over the summer as they pursue paid research opportunities on campus.
- STEM Study Fellows. STEM Study Fellows take credit-bearing summer courses at Rutgers University and participate in ongoing academic programming at Princeton in order to achieve academic success.
