The Scholars Institute Fellows (SIFP) program partners with the Center for Career Development to provide financial assistance for winter Princeternships to students who qualify and successfully apply for funding.
Since 2008, the Princeternship program has been offering students an inside look at careers by sending them out into the field to investigate career paths and foster personal connections with alumni and employers. Winter Princeternships give undergraduate students an opportunity get to know the career path of their alum host, learn more about an industry and potentially get tangible project experience. They take place during the period either between Reading Period or Intersession with some flexibility for other dates in January depending on host availability. They can be either a one-day shadowing experience with an alum or two- to five-day shadowing with project experience. These give undergraduate students an opportunity get to know the career path of their alum host, learn more about an industry and potentially get tangible project experience. Opportunities span a range of geographic regions.
Princeternship programs have concluded for AY 2019-2020 and we look forward to receiving applications for Princeternship funding next year AY 2020-2021.
